Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a media coach? Anyone who is speaking with the media on behalf
of their organization is a prime candidate for media coaching. If you are serious about building, improving, preserving and/or
protecting your image and your company's reputation, you need a media coach. Reporters don't want to talk to
your PR person, they want to talk with the subject matter expert. If that expert is you, please contact us today.
How does media coaching work? A typical
media coaching session is either 3 or 6 hours and begins with an informative orientation. First we give clients the inside
scoop on how reporters operate, show them how to develop hard-hitting messages the press can't refuse, demonstrate the
different techniques for controlling an interview and much, much more. Following the orientation is the most
critical portion of the training: a series of progressively challenging interview scenarios, each followed
by comprehensive critiques. Stravolo Media Services thoroughly researches every client in order to deliver a customized
coaching session focused on their particular industry, issues and/or organization.
Where do you conduct media training? We offer the convenience of bringing our services to you. Simply
tell us where to be and what time.
How do you prepare for a media coaching
session? We pride ourselves on our highly customized prep work. Every client is different and so is
their training. We thoroughly research each client, their issues and concerns and those issues that may get the attention
of the news media. We start with information they send us and then we do some investigating of our own. By the time of
our coaching session, we know more about the client than the average reporter. That helps us give the client the most valuable
training session possible.
Why choose Stravolo Media Services? Our experience
spans two decades in both the radio and television news industry and public relations. We offer the
know-how of a genuine news veteran and the expertise of a public relations officer working at the highest levels of the
U.S. military.
What about your rates? When we work with a client, we spend
hours on research and preparation to ensure a customized training session that generally lasts another several hours. We offer
follow-up consultations by phone for no additional cost. We don't charge extra for the camera, lights, sound and video
editing equipment we use during coaching sessions. And we don't ask you to pay for our elaborate TV studio because
we don't have one. We bring the studio to you. Contact us for a customized proposal and rate rundown. We guarantee our rates are competitive.
What kind
of follow-up do you offer clients? We offer free follow-up training by phone regarding any issue covered
during the original training. We believe any client is always a client.
How far in advance should I
book my training? Although we always try to accommodate last-minute bookings, it is recommended that you
reserve a date 4-6 weeks in advance for optimum availability. Contact us today by phone at 760.717.0714 or by e-mail
at info@StravoloMediaServices.com.
